What medical conditions should I discuss with my doctor before starting EMS Training?EMS training has been scientifically proven to be effective for people of different age groups and different fitness levels. However, due to EMS being what it is, electrical, some health conditions are not compatible with the technology or require endorsement from your doctor. These conditions include, (and are by no means limited to): Pacemaker - You must not do EMS training if you have a pacemaker! (But don't worry but we have other things you can do!) Circulatory disorders, acute stroke, stent, thrombosis and cardiovascular diseases (i.e. arteriosclerosis) Bleeding, bleeding tendency or hemophilia Diabetes mellitus Abdominal wall hernia or inguinal hernia Severe neurological disorders (i.e. epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis etc.) Acute operation (within 8 weeks, depending on individual case) Pregnancy (Do not do EMS training if you are pregnant) If you have ANY concerns or want to have a confidential chat about your personal situation please don't hesitate to let us know so we can work something!

Do I need to bring or do anything before EMS Training?Glad you asked! Simply wear or bring your favourite gym outfit and a determined attitude! We will supply you with everything else you need. You don't even have to wear shoes during the session if you don't want! As regards eating/drinking we recommend the following to ensure your EMS session is optimal: Don't train on a full stomach. You should ideally have eaten a light carb/protein based snack 1 hour before your session so you have energy to train. (If you know you have energy to burn regardless of when or what you ate then awesome!) Do drink plenty of water or another similar fluid (no soda or sugary soft drinks) to stay hydrated before you train because once the EMS starts it's game on for the next 20 minutes!

When will I start seeing/ feeling results? The most important question of them all! Long story short you will start feeling the effects from your very first session! The first time you ever try EMS and you will experience sensations in your muscles that you have never felt before and in our experience most clients laugh with the wonder of it all! A few seconds after that they realise, "Ah! it's definitely on now" and you see a determination to smash their session like a pro! They walk out feeling tired but pumped full of endorphins! A few days later (depending on how intense your session was and how fit you generally are) you may feel abit sore which is a positive sign you achieved great muscle activation during your session which is exactly what we want! After about 4 weeks of having training at least once a week without fail, you going to notice your posture and overall strength has improved. A few more weeks after that at about the 8-10 week mark, you will have noticed a increase in muscle formation/definition including a possible reduction in body fat (as long as you ate healthy during the entire process) we anticipate you starting to say to yourself, "Damn! I'm on fire!" Remember! As with ALL fitness training no matter what it is, the secret to getting the results you want is CONSISTENTLY showing up to training and keeping your diet and lifestyle in harmony with your goals. That being said, EMS training should become a integral part of your selfcare routine to ensure and maintain what you have worked so hard to achieve!
